Wireless Data Logger for Temperature and Humidity Monitoring
When a cold storage unit drifts out of range at 3 a.m., you need an alert, not a morning report. Kingmach’s wireless data loggers handle that—tracking temperature and humidity around the clock and sending readings over WiFi, LoRa, or Bluetooth so facilities, logistics, and lab teams can react while it still matters. The loggers accept standard probe inputs, store local records, and can push data to existing SCADA or cloud platforms without forcing a rip-and-replace. Setup focuses on getting the device online in minutes, not hours. With an IP65-rated housing and battery options that last beyond a year in typical use, they fit into daily operations without becoming another maintenance item. Instead of another dashboard you’ll ignore, you get thresholds, alarms, and csv exports that work with the tools you already use.
Technical Detail
Kingmach designs these wireless data loggers for users who need solid numbers, not just connectivity. Each unit supports one external probe input—thermocouple, RTD, or digital—as well as an onboard sensor for ambient readings, covering typical ranges from -40°C to +85°C and 0–100% RH. Accuracy sits around ±0.3°C for temperature and ±3% RH for humidity under normal conditions, which holds up well in walk-in freezers, drying rooms, or transport containers. Data gets written to non-volatile memory at one-minute to one-hour intervals, with enough storage to hold over 100,000 time-stamped records. When network is available, readings upload via MQTT or HTTP to a server or cloud service you specify; if not, the logger queues data and auto-fills gaps once reconnected. Power normally comes from a replaceable 3.6V lithium battery that runs 18–24 months on hourly logging—field-replaceable without losing config. For longer range, KM-LogTH variants swap WiFi for LoRaWAN, reaching gateways several kilometres away in open sites. The web-based configuration interface and bulk firmware-update tool keep fleet management practical. While we ship standard SKUs from stock, Kingmach’s factory can pre-load custom calibration profiles, sensor coefficients, and reporting intervals for project-specific needs. Global distributors carry spare probes and mounting kits, and our support team helps with protocol mapping and integration during pilot phases.

Yes, if you choose the LoRa variant. It works with any standard LoRaWAN gateway—we can provide the device EUI and keys for your network server. For private networks, the logger supports OTAA activation.
Readings are saved to internal flash memory. Once the connection is back, the logger can fill missing chunks automatically without manual intervention. Local storage holds over 100,000 records, so a multi-day outage is not a problem.
The capacitive sensor handles 0–100% RH, but accuracy specs apply for non-condensing conditions. Prolonged saturation can shift readings temporarily; after drying out, the sensor recovers. For high-humidity applications, we recommend a probe with a sintered filter.
Battery capacity drops at low temperature, so we typically see around 12–15 months with hourly logging at -20°C using the standard lithium cell. You can extend this by switching to a low-temperature rated battery or changing the logging interval to every 10 minutes.
